First off, I'm so excited to be writing my first post for my new blog!  I hope somebody actually decides to read it! =)

Anyways, enough with the small talk, let's get down to business.

There are simply no words to truly describe the amazing Ellen Hopkins.  First off, she had me hooked after I read Identical.  Since this post is not about that book, I'll only say if you haven't read it, you need to drop everything RIGHT NOW, and pick it up.  I can assure you it will only take a couple of days to read.

Burned.  With that last page, my mind was almost numb from the intense amounts of emotions Ms. Hopkins had managed to pull from me in such a short about of time.  I felt blown away at how she always manages to take me by surprise in her endings.  For all of you readers out there that avoid reality in cozy books, you should probably steer clear.  For you real readers out there that believe that books should make you think, pull you in, and throw you back out with a whole different perspective, you must sink your teeth into Burned, so to speak.
