Top Ten Series I Still Need to Start

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Series I'd like to Start But Haven't Yet
This meme is hosted by the lovely ladies at The Broke and the Bookish.  Go check them out.

I didn't yet into YA fully until college.  I read books, but I was just all over the place without any kind of direction.  A friend and fellow blogger gave me some guidance and I learned how to maneuver the world I had discovered in the adolescent lit classes in school.  That being said, there are many series that I have yet to read that are super popular.  I'm working on it ok??  Plus there are just so many books, so little time.

1.  Castor Chronicles by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
I am seriously close to getting on this.  I am on the waiting list for the audiobook for Beautiful Creatures.

2.  Lux by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I see the series all the time.  ALL THE TIME.  But I have yet to crack a book open yet.  It's on the ever-growing TBR pile.

3.  Across the Universe by Beth Revis
My mom and sister have both read this series.  Well the first two.  They love them, and I even own the first one in the series... but alas they have been unread by me.

4.  The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
I also own the first one of this series, but have I read it?  Of course not.

5.  A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin
I have seen the show... does that count?  I know, I know.  It doesn't.

6.  Maze Runner by James Dashner
I now own the first two.  So that is normally my first step towards tackling a series.
Hopefully I will have a productive year....

7.  Millennium by Stieg Larsson
I have really wanted to read this series for a long time.  I have heard that it is pretty incredible.  Hopefully I will one day find out if that is true for myself.

8.  Summer by Jenny Han
Reading Burn After Burn made me want to read Jenny Han's books.  Plus I have heard great things....

9.  Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
I have had the first book forever.... seriously.  Forever.

10.  Misadventures of Tallulah Casey by Louise Rennison
Once again, I have the first book... what have I done with it?  Nothing.

So that's my list of series I have neglected.  Please tell me I am not the only one...

  2. Great list! I have read the first in the Caster Chronicles and loved it. Hoping to read the second this month.

I just finished the second in the Across the Universe series - READ IT! OMFG. Beth Revis is a genius.

I'm reading A Clash of Kings right now - the book series and tv show are actually pretty accurate to one another. I love both :) My husband is reading the 5th right now.

Maze Runner is pretty good. I need to read the prequel.

  3. I love Lux and Across the Universe. I really didn't like the Caster Chronicles, but I seem to be among the minority in that respect.

  4. You're definitely not the only one. I want to give Beautiful Creatures a shot, and I've heard good things about Across the Universe. I have the second book in the Han series but haven't found a (cheap) copy of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Seems kind of silly to own #2 and not #1, right?
