Introducing A New Blogger + A Giveaway!

So if you have visited the blog in the last week, you have noticed quite a few changes.  I mean, "Simply Books." is now "I believe in books.", there's a new layout, and I am not the only person mentioned on the side.  Thankfully for me, my friend *Blake* has agreed to pop on over to this blog with me.  Anyone who does a blog solo knows how crazy stressful it can get.  I'm thrilled to have her.  We decided to change the name to make it ours.    

So let me introduce Blake:

It's hard to believe that we have only been friends for about a year and a half.  Fate deemed us to work at the same bookstore, both coming for the books.  We bonded over our love for books and then the long list of other things we had in common.  We used to joke that we were brain twins.  

Blake is the ying to my yang.  While I tend to ultimately go for the good boys in the book, Blake will almost always fight for the bad boy.  While I seem to always lean towards contemporary, Blake will probably pick up the paranormal/fantasy.  While I tend towards quiet and a little sarcasm, *ok a lot of sarcasm* Blake is incredibly outgoing.  I'm pretty sure she makes friends everywhere we go.  She's great to have when you have to wait in line forever.  

Anyone who knows Blake knows she believes in mermaids and dragons.  She loves the simple things in life, and she loves laughing and anything that is happy-making. *there is a good chance it may be purple*  She has even more books than me, and she adores her two enormous puppies.  *I'll let her introduce those later because they are her babies.*  

I really think that having Blake on the blog will make the blog so much better and allow the blog to reach a broader audience that may have interests that tend to lean towards her's.  Blake is also a fellow baker, and with her on board you will definitely see a lot more recipes posted.  I had been wanting to do that for a while anyways.  So keep your eyes open for the purple B below!

Now on to the giveaway!  As a way to celebrate the whole new change coming, we want to share some love with you.  

Blake here! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Deidra. She's my best friend and one of the few people I trust with everything about my life. She's seriously one of the smartest people I know, and she loves books just as much as I do. The book store we worked at together was fate. I met my alter-ego, my other half, and the best friend I always wanted in high school. Also, the girl is crazy funny. I don't think she's been "a little" sarcastic a day in her life. She's witty, and I could write a book about all of the things that come out of her mouth. You should have been there when we were throwing out names for the new blog. Giggling ensued. 

Oh, and my puppies? Sweet, precious angels. Her dog? The demon tried to chew my ankle off before we left for a bookish event one year. I swear it tried to eat me. (She'll disagree, I'm sure.)

To celebrate my addition to this blog, Deidra and I have decided to have a little giveaway. Better news? We will have not one prize, but FOUR!
