Summary: I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do.The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too.I buried her.I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame.Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.
My Favorite Line:
“You can’t tell me how to feel.”
Why I Loved It: Lauren Oliver quickly became one of my
favorite authors after Delirium. The
book tore me up completely at the end. I
would think about it a couple of days later and start tearing up again. Pandemonium started out just how I needed it
to. I healed as Lena healed. Bit by bit, I became more and more happy with
the way things were going. I’m going to
do my best to review without giving anything away.
Life was good for me, and sadly the book began to come to an
end. I was already mourning only having
a few pages left. And then that last
page came. And I stared at it unable to
wrap my mind around what had just happened.
And then it hit me. And then I
stared some more in a shocked stupor.
Finally the tears came. I kept
going through the different scenarios Ms. Oliver could have ended with that
would not have tore me up so much. I
just have to trust in her fabulousness and that she knows what she’s
doing. All I have to say is the next
book cannot come out soon enough. I will
definitely have to read Delirium and Pandemonium again before then.
Thanks for the giveaway! I loved the first book in this series sooo much I'm dying having to wait for the 2nd!
ReplyDeleteI completely know what you are talking about books coming to an end. The bittersweet feeling of a book's last pages is unbearable. You tear through a book, and suddenly find yourself with only 20 pages left. At least this is a trilogy. Can't wait to read Pandemonium.
