Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten 2013 Debuts I'm Looking Forward To
This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  Go check them out.

I have said on this blog that I love debut authors many times.  Debut stands for everything that is right in the world or at least the world of writing.  There is no better feeling that reading a debut novel, loving it, and getting to write an awesome review for it.  That book is someone's dream, and I get to support that.

1.  The Collector by Victoria Scott
I found this book via another blog's WoW pick.  I want to read it.  SO BAD!  That cover looks so delicious.  It had has delicious bad boy written all over it.  I can't wait to get my hands on it and enjoy the reading experience.

2.  Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black
I think I really want to read this because of just how much I enjoyed Bunheads recently.  Now I want to read books about dance all the time.  This one has a bit of a paranormal feel to it which makes it sound even more appealing.

3.  Dear Life, You Suck by Scott Blagden
I picked this book in part because I have resolved to read more books with a male MC.  I always seem to read books from a female perspective.  Then last year I read Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jessie Andrews.  It was unlike something I had read in a long time, and I loved it.  I need to explore more.

4.  Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets by Evan Roskos
Ditto for exploring more.  This one sounds like it's going to be adorable with a ton of quotable moments.  I just have one of those feelings about it.

5.  The Murmurings by Carly Anne West
I feel good that my list has some variety to it.  This book is more on the paranormal with that realism twist to it.  At least that's what I gather from the summary *which lies sometimes*.  The book seems to be about a girl that is dealing with a friends untimely death (?) and she seems like she may be going crazy.  Or is she??

6.  OCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu
Ok this one sounds adorable.  Completely adorable.  And as a person that has like that guy that was a lot older than me, I feel like I may relate a lot to this contemporary pick.

7.  Fault Line by Christa Desir
The summary for this one has a Laurie Halse Anderson's Speak kinda feel to it.  Maybe a little Sarah Dessen.  More hard edged Sarah Dessen.  The summary just sounds like a really interesting contemporary pick, and I LOVE the cover.

8.  Uses for Boys by Erica Lorraine Scheidt
This is another book I found via WoW.  It sounds exactly like the kind of book I love to read.  I am apparently comparing books today because I have to say when I read the summary I though ELLEN HOPKINS-isque!  And I love Ellen Hopkins.  I really hope this book is as good as I think it will be.

9.  Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn
The summary intrigues me.  So much that I am going to post it here.
A reckless wish taken from the darkest desires of the heart…
A bloody razor engraved with the names of the girls who turned to dust…
An endless cycle that feeds of loneliness and craves destruction…
Together, these pieces form a twisted puzzle that Annaliese Rose Gordon has to solve. Trapped in a body that isn’t hers—with no memory of how she got there—she must unlock the secrets of her past in order to escape the horrors of her future.
10.  Bruised by Sarah Skilton
I can't say why this one appeals to me so much, but it does.  I just have this curiosity growing inside me that will lead to reading this book.

Did you make a Top Ten this Tuesday?  Leave me a link so I can go check it out!
